shoe sharing

OK, so Andrew is already on his third pair of shoes..... The cost of each pair is about 100 dollars, i"m sure this varies and the insurance never got back to us about reimbursement, again, I"m sure that varies as well....not too optimistic though.... If anyone has shoes and bars that they would like to donate please let know and I would love to try and redistribute.... I currently have two smaller pairs. I believe the sizes he's grown out of are extra small, and small...I"ll have to get more specific on the sizes......for those of you that are grossed out by shoe sharing (hey it happens) I just want to emphasize that these kids wear the shoes for maybe two to three months before they grow out of them and always with socks....oh, BTW, for those of you with kids that wear these shoes, little tip....never get all cotton socks...they sweat in them...instead opt for at least 60 percent poly... we found that out the hard way:( poor kid kept waking up with wet feet;)

  1. Hi Mazra,
Lauren just forwarded your e-mail/blog to me.... what beautiful boys you have! You and blessed! I am going to send your blog to Caren as she has a good friend whose daughter had some of the same issues (I think) and she is just fine. As a baby she had low muscle tone and was delayed in crawling, walking...most movements. She also had extensive therapies and is now almost 7 and is perfect! I'll keep on reading your blog... you are doing everything right for Andrew. Hope to see you soon! Love, Sue and Rich

  3. Dear Mazra, I think the shoe sharing is such a good idea! I want you to know that I think you are doing such a great job as a mom with both Andrew and Jesse. I know it can't be easy, not only with raising and caring for twins but with making and keeping all of their Dr. appts. and therapy appts. You are a natural mom and a strong woman. You care for your boys in an incredible way! It's evident by just looking at their happy faces! Keep up the good work and I'm always just a phone call away if you ever need to talk! Love you! Sandra
